  1. Is it easy to volunteer with Solona?
    Absolutely! Solona makes it very easy.You can solve Captchas whenever it is convenient for you. It’s a matter of logging into a website and waiting for a Captcha notification.Solving Captchas can easily be incorporated to normal computer use. You decide when you poll for Captchas. There is no schedule to maintain.It takes about 15 seconds to solve a Captcha.

  2. What is involved in solving a Captcha?
    You will receive a notification that there is a new Captcha available to solve. The objective is to identify the Captcha on the image submitted and enter the code into a response field. It’s quite easy to solve a Captcha, and does not take more than 20 seconds.Everything is done from the browser.

  3. What equipment do I need?
    All you need is a computer (Windows/Mac/Linux), a browser, and of course, an Internet connection.There is no special program or computer configuration required to solve Captchas.

  4. Do I have to talk to anyone?
    No. Not at all. There is no two-way communication between you, the solver, and the user (the person submitting the Captcha).You see the Captcha, but do not know the identity of the user. The user does not know who is solving the Captcha. You either return the text-equivalent of the Captcha, or a an error message (from a list) so that the user can take corrective action depending on the issue.

  7. Why do people need help solving Captchas if sites have an audio link?
    The problem is that audio Captchas are (usually) very difficult to understand. Some audio tools work well, but most are not useable. Many sites do not provide audio challenges.
